Roles & App Access

Admin, Manager, collaborator, and per-app access—what each control unlocks.

What This Is For

A lookup of who can do what in Skillhabit. One account can wear several hats: roles and App access decide which apps open; collaborators and managers add scoped powers on top.

How-tos: Users and Profiles · Managers · Collaborator Access.

Who This Is For

Administrators designing access, and anyone asking “why can’t I open Analyze?”

Roles and Flags

ControlWhere you set itWhat it unlocks
AdminProfile → App accessEverything in the workspace. Per-app toggles are hidden while Admin is on. Admins can still take courses like anyone else.
ManagerProfile → App access, then each group → ManagersFocused Users & Groups view for assigned groups only. Optional per-group permissions (below). Does not open full user profiles.
Standard userDefault when not AdminOnly the apps granted under App access
CollaboratorContent in CreateCollaborateEdit and preview that course, SCORM, program, or meetup. Needs Create app access to use Create tools.
CreatorAutomatic on content you createSame editing rights as a collaborator on that item

Turning Manager off fails while the person is still on any group’s manager list—remove them there first.

App Access Cards

For non-admins, App access on the profile turns apps on or off. Typical cards:

LearnLearnersDay-to-day library
CertificatesLearners with credentialsHolders view / renew; not the same as issuing in Create
CreateAuthorsAuthoring; collaborators still need this app to open Create
AnalyzeAdmins, managers, some collaboratorsScope depends on role (below)
Follow UpReviewersReflections and meetup attendance
Users & GroupsAdmins (managers get a reduced view)Directory and groups
ConfigureAdminsWorkspace settings
AcademyAdmins / catalog browsersStorefront; optional for mandatory and certification tracks

Workspaces may show additional cards depending on capabilities.

Manager Permissions (Per Group)

Admin vs many app togglesAdmin replaces per-app cards
Visibility vs App accessVisibility = can they see this course in Learn?; App access = can they open the Learn app at all?
