How Skillhabit designs and tests for WCAG 2.1 Level AA so the platform works for everyone.
What This Is For
Skillhabit aims to be usable by everyone—learners, managers, authors, and administrators alike. This page explains the standard we design to, what that means in day-to-day use, and how we keep improving.

Our Standard: WCAG 2.1 AA
We design and build the Skillhabit platform to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA—the level most organizations expect for workplace software.
In practice, that means we care about:

| Labels and feedback | Forms and actions are labeled; errors and status are not conveyed by color alone |
| Hover-only information | Important labels are not trapped in hover tooltips alone—controls stay understandable without a mouse |
How We Design and Test
Accessibility is part of how we ship the product, not a one-off checklist at the end.
- Design and engineering review — layout, contrast, focus, and labeling are considered when we build and change screens
- Automated accessibility checks — we scan the UI against WCAG 2.0 A/AA and WCAG 2.1 AA rules as part of our UI testing, so regressions are caught early
- Ongoing improvement — when we find or receive a barrier, we treat it as a product defect to fix
We do not claim that every screen is perfect on every day. Accessibility is continuous work. The commitment is the standard we build to, the testing we run, and the path to report and fix issues.

Making mandatory learning work for everyone usually means both a usable platform and accessible course material. Skillhabit owns the platform side of that.

- Include the page or app you were in, what you were trying to do, and which assistive technology or browser you used if you know it
We use that information to reproduce the issue and improve the product.
